my ghetto dollmaking attempt

On the left: the cutest doll ever made by my dear Florida friend Danni. She gave me this adorable little thing for the baby along with a super cool book called "Wave." I made the doll on the right. Her arms are each going a different way (so are Danni's but those aren't so extreme and they look cute), the legs are 2 different colors (the back of the green leg is pink like the other leg), and there are a few stitch issues that you can't really see in this photo.... Yeah, I wish I had noticed the arm thing and mismatched legs BEFORE I sewed it all up! I was so impatient and anxious to make her, I stopped noticing the details.
oh well, the dollies are friends now, and they love hanging out on my turquoise vintage chair. The pattern for the doll can be found here. It is really simple and fun to make (even it turns out a little ghetto:)

Making stuff

This is a bib and matching owl puppet I made for a friend...
Baby skirts I made to slip over onesies for my baby girl.
Some little shoes I made to go on those little feet (which I can't wait to meet)! The pattern for these shoes is at stardustshoes and they are very easy to make. I didn't use the interfacing like it called for (which would have made them slightly stiffer) because I didn't have any. I think they will be fine without. Just softer/smushier.

I will be posting a tutorial on how to make the simple baby skirts (since I don't have an actual pattern) in the near future!

I am craving this and pizza

I really want to eat this right now. If you don't click on the link, well its lemon-mint granita. I love icees. granizados, sno cones, water ice. Call it what you want, I love it. And its summer, and I'm pregnant. I think I might make this concotion sometime soon.

Oh and I woke up this morning craving papa johns cheese pizza. I don't get super strong cravings, and never anything weird, but I would just love some pizza and lemon granitas right now. Where is my fairy god-mother??

love my new carseat cover!

I had this made by a fellow etsy-ier the sassy stork. I sent her the fabrics, she performed magic on it:) She did a wonderful job and I absolutely love it! Thanks! (oh and if you look on her site right now it is basically empty because she is moving I guess, so check back in the future if you want one of these!)

The little white shoes were made by teeny wahine and the green shoes were made by she knits!
love them love them love them.
