my ghetto dollmaking attempt

On the left: the cutest doll ever made by my dear Florida friend Danni. She gave me this adorable little thing for the baby along with a super cool book called "Wave." I made the doll on the right. Her arms are each going a different way (so are Danni's but those aren't so extreme and they look cute), the legs are 2 different colors (the back of the green leg is pink like the other leg), and there are a few stitch issues that you can't really see in this photo.... Yeah, I wish I had noticed the arm thing and mismatched legs BEFORE I sewed it all up! I was so impatient and anxious to make her, I stopped noticing the details.
oh well, the dollies are friends now, and they love hanging out on my turquoise vintage chair. The pattern for the doll can be found here. It is really simple and fun to make (even it turns out a little ghetto:)
