Beautiful purchases...

Last weekend I had the chance to FINALLY check out Athens, GA and visit my friend Leslie at the Craftstravaganza (and Indie craft festival). It was trek to get out there, but luckily Olivia was a trooper and it was totally worth it. I had never been, and I now wish I could go there every weekend! such fun restaurants and little shops that I would love to explore. While I was there I picked up some fun handmade items using my hard-earned headband money. I never buy myself things anymore. It has lost the thrill, partially because I don't work outside my home anymore, so no one ever sees me, and partially because I find much greater satisfaction from just making them myself. Anyway, I actually bought some things that day, and they are so beautiful I wanted to share....

From Homemade Grits I bought this delightful camera strap. I have had one on my list of things to make for like 2 years now, but um I didn't see that happening any time soon, so I decided to just buy one from her! I am so glad because it is seriously this cheerful strip of color every time I pick up my camera. I love it!
The pouch and dress are also from Homemade Grits. I won the pouch awhile back, and the dress I bought last weekend for Olivia. How cute is it???? I LOVE the fabric choices, she has the best eye for mixing pattern and color.
Sharing the booth with Leslie was Christina of Down and Out Chic. I bought these adorable little studs and pin from her. I couldn't resist the colors!!! She has a great selection of barrettes, necklaces, earrings, pins, etc. And they are very affordable.
As I was leaving I passed by the booth of a very talented MFA student at the University of GA. I wanted to buy EVERYTHING at her table. Her artwork really appealed to me because she used lots of bright colors and layers and patterns similar to things I like using, but she does it differently. So beautiful and VERY affordable (as in I bought the screen print above for only $20. Original art for $20?????????? people sell printed (as in computer-printed) for more than that on etsy!!!. Her name is Laura Wood. Check her out here and here.
Some little postcard pieces I bought (a dollar fifty each) and the brown bag??? That is what she put it all in! She screen-printed on each one! crazy girl.

Have you bought anything lately that you are dying over? I can't stop looking at these items over and over. All the color makes me want to jump for joy!

Such cute stuff! I love those crocheted collars too! I am always buying and looking for shirts that look like what those collars make shirts look like! I can't wait for a tutorial!
