pinwheel gardens

Sometimes during my design process I play with the little felt pieces, juxtaposing them with other things I have lying around, or putting them on my face, hands, whatever. I always imagine up these silly photoshoots  (kinda like this one) that usually never happen, because I have no one around to take the pictures until the sun has already gone down. anyway, these are a couple ideas I had the other day while making the new pinwheel garden headband (which wasn't created until a few hours later that evening).

I had this vintage doily hanging around and loved the way it looked with the "pinwheel" on top. It looked extra cute when I laid it on my shirt like a brooch, but I had no one here to photograph me, so just use your imaginations:)
I thought the little pinwheels would make spectacular willy wonka-ish nail decorations.
And this is what I ended up making with all the pinwheels! you can buy it here in my etsy (or at Charm Boutique in St.Louis).
And here are some other variations I came up with later. I've been wearing the mustard and grey clip in my hair for 2 days. I LOVE IT.  And I think I really need a photoshoot done, because these look fabulous in actual hair, but you can't see that here!

I love these! They are so very pretty. I also just realized (Even though I've been following you for several months) that you live near me! I live just north of Athens but work in Lawrenceville!

I know what you are talking about when on comes to lack of extra hands to work the camera. I might have to invest in a tripod. I love the pinwheels!! So pretty!
