lucky me.

This past weekend I was supposed to go out of town. I didn't (it was postponed), and so at the last minute I was able to scoot my behind on over to Whipstitch to meet Dana from Made!! Now I have had virtual conversations with her (and once we were on a conference call together, so I had heard her voice), but I didn't know what she would be like in person. Let me tell you all: she is exactly the same! Cute, relaxed, easy to talk to, cheerful, and really I am SURE we would be friends if we lived closer to each other. I might just fly on over to texas to hang out with her (she virtually invited me over on her blog today).
ANYWAY.... it was a great experience, and I just wish I'd had more time to talk to her and take her classes. Unfortunately I had Olivia with me, so I was sorta preoccupied with keeping her happy, fed, etc.
I caught the tail end of her workshop on how to make patterns from your clothes. (luckily I sorta know how to do this already, but I'm SURE her tips would have made it that much easier.)
Some of the ladies I met after the workshop. Turns out two of them are related to a friend of mine from church (the middle two, Taylor and Lindsey)! It was fun meeting them and the cute girl on the end is Tiffany of Simply Modern Mom.  I wish I had been wearing something a little more flattering, or that I had had time to blow dry my hair...
As much as I was bummed that I didn't get to go to the event solo,  it wasn't THAT bad since I had the cutest companion ever. she had fun ripping stuff of the shelf.....
