I don't know what to title this post.

As part of this whole "make my business better" venture I have been on lately, one of the things I did was to improve the aesthetic of my shipped packages.  I used to just throw the headbands in a box and call it a day. I always wanted it to be better, but I just never had the time to think about a solution. And now I have found one! It was incredibly simple, and doesn't up the cost of my shipping (currently $3 which barely covers my costs).
Here are some blocks I made awhile back that I love. I cannot figure out what to do with them though.  I think they would be great if there were lots, but the only idea I had was for kids, and I don't think they would last long with that paper on there. Olivia would eat that to pieces. ANY IDEAS????
A friend of mine just had a baby boy. So of course, I made him my favorite shoes, and appliqued a hatched egg on there. I made the blanket at my quilting group, and well,  I know everyone gets a million of these for their showers, but I didn't know who else to make it for when it came time to make baby blankets!! I tried to add my own touch with the appliqued designs in the middle:) I also made her a rattle from this book (which  I LOOOOOVE).
This was the romper from hell, but I lurve it now that it is done. It took 2 whole nights (and my nights are precious) to get this baby done. I made about a million mistakes because I didn't completely understand the instructions! Next time I'm not using a pattern. I swear I can make things so much better when I figure them out on my own. BUT it was the first pattern I have ever followed all by myself, so I am pretty proud. I NEVER use patterns. I took a beginning sewing class once in college and had to ask the teacher things all the time. I just went back to my old method of tracing clothes, etc once the class was over.

One thing that I am excited about with this romper though, is that I figured out how to put in snaps!! hooray! I don't know about you, but I always get overly scared by random things (zippers, sleeves, buttonholes, snaps). And everytime I finally sit down and teach myself, its never as hard as I had anticipated! Side note: I faced all those sewing fears this year, and they weren't bad at all!

sorry this was the most random post ever.

I love that packaging at the top! You're so talented. I'm green with envy right now. I struggled over my packaging for a long time and I finally came up with wrapping things in vintage sewing patterns tied with twine and my label. It's cute but it still needs something. I just don't know what yet. What about doing somethinng cool to a tissue paper? I bet you could come up with something amazing!

I can't read patterns either! I've tried a million times but crochet patterns might as well be written in Sanskrit to me.
